Turn Signals: 101.

Really people, how hard is it to use your turn signal? And why is it that no one uses them anymore? If anyone has an answer please post a comment. After my evening commute today, I realized how upset I am about this. I'm pretty sure if you didn't use your signal when you took your driving test it was an automatic FAIL.

Am I supposed to know that you are going to cut me off? Sometimes it's easy to tell, only because I've seen those crazy lane changers out there. I think the kids are calling it "weaving". News flash: YOU'RE NOT COOL. You actually look pretty stupid. Why do you think the signal is located in a convenient, accessible area? Correct, so you won't use it.

Just in case any of you out there have forgotten how to use your signal I've put together a short tutorial with pictures for better understanding.

When turning LEFT keep your left hand on the wheel at 9 o'clock and stick your fingers out (they should reach, if not I suggest studying this) so your index finger is above and middle finger is below the signal, like so. Simply flick the signal DOWN, you will hear a click and the pretty light will flash and there ya go, by golly you've used your signal! Your signal will conveniently click off on its own after you have made your turn.

Follow the same instructions when turning RIGHT, except flick the signal UP, like so.

I hope this helps. Now go out there are use your sigs!!!

Paying for Songs

iTunes is about to reach their 10 billionth purchased song. Well start buyin' more folks cause the lucky person who buys the 1,000,000,000th mp3 gets a $10,000 gift certificate to iTunes! Imagine all of the media you could buy with that. Seriously. That's more than my car is worth and probably my net worth. Let's see, in my iTunes purchased section I have a total of 76 songs. I tried to calculate the percentage of my contribution, but I didn't understand the answer, there were letters in it.

Happy listening, or buying, which ever you're doing more of....

The Difference Between Curling and Snowboarding...

is Scotty Lago, Olympic bronze medalist. Lago "left" the games after scandalous pictures of him, his medal and an AZN surfaced on the internet, compliments of TMZ. Upon celebrating his victory, Lago and a very enthusiastic fan were snapped having a moment...

After pictures surfaced, Lago left Vancouver and headed home. Some say it was on his own terms, however, some say he was given an ultimatum: apologize and leave, or get kicked out. Either way he's back home and the incident stirred up a lot of discussion...

"How shocking! A young, healthy, virile, medal-winning athlete having a little fun. And he’s a snowboarder. Those guys do nothing but train, sleep, drink milk and read the Bible." —In Entertainment

"At least Lago was allowing strangers to bask in the glory of an Olympic medal…. While the photograph may have been in poor no means did it merit the sort of treatment he received." —Yahoo Sports

(This was entitled 'Way to make the most of a bronze')
"[T]he men of America and maybe the world are applauding little Scotty Lago and his creative use of the least cool medal around." —Creative Loafing

Lago was finished competing after his bronze. It makes me wonder what people do with their medals when there aren't any cameras around...

V Day in the whale's V...

was pretty eventful. I went to yoga, and then skyped with my bestie Yess. Lookin' good Jess and Darla.

I also got a package from my mom and ate entirely way too much chocolate. :)

For My Man McQ

Dear Alexander McQueen,

Your marvelous talent for transforming clothing into ostentatious works of art will be greatly missed by me. Your work is the bee's knees and I am more than sad that there will be no more of your theatrical, innovative portrayals of clothing. Losing you will extend far beyond the realm of fashion.

Famous hologram of Kate Moss. You should probably YouTube this, it's worth it.

Let's not forget the 'Bad Romance' number.

Genius, you are. RIP.

Holy Shnikey!!!

It's February 2010? I haven't blogged since August. This is bad, real bad for my millions of followers. Please don't be mad while I try to list some crazy things that happened to me in the past 6 months, in hopes that you can identify at least one reason that excuses my lack of writing.

1. I turned 23, clearly.

2. I drove to Mammoth, Tahoe, Ashland, Bend, Portland, San Francisco and Thousand Oaks from San Diego.

3. I went to Denver and showed everyone how I roller blade all the time.

4. I got a job, a good one.

5. I got drop kicked by Tom W.

6. I went to Vegas and won $200 playing craps. (Then proceeded to not save it... it's Vegas)

7. My wolf pack grew by one (ahem, Zaq Shore)

8. I hiked to the top of Mt. Bachelor.

9. I moved to the tallest floor I've ever lived on, the nasty 9th.

10. I went to Lake Tulloch with the Paulicks.

11. I hosted the best Christmas party I've ever attended, and I'm not just saying that because I threw it.

12. I finally met my best friend's (ex) boyfriend, after a whole year.

13. I built the tallest Jenga, EVER. There was literally no moves left. We beat the game.

14. I (drunkenly) worked a booth at a tradeshow with Jess.

So there you have it. A whole 14 things I could think of. Thre rest of the time was spent either snowboarding, drinking, working or vigorously dancing.

Consistant blogs, comin' atcha (MOM).
